580 Queen st, Brisbane

Project No. 5995

580 Queen street is one of Brisbane’s most exciting sites for redevelopment. As the gateway to the Valley and in such a prominent position the site is unique as it is coupled with a 19th century heritage facade retention scheme making it a challenging engineering project.
We were involved a lot earlier in the design process than is usually experienced and we believe that the success of the project is critically reliant on this fact.
Structural input was essential to understand how the existing facade would be maintained and how this very constrained site could be developed. Building Services and ESD input was required to address the ‘what if’ scenarios to a level of detail that accurate costs could be apportioned.
