The Hybrid

hybrid

Project no. 6023

The Hybrid is a fantastic display of modern art that is located at the West End within the proposed parkland redevelopment. The sculpture stands at 2.2 metres high and 0.5 metres wide.

It was sculpted by Polish-born sculptor, painter & designer Cezary Stulgis who has completed various public art commissions in Australia, Poland and the United Kingdom. This project successfully brings the world of modern art outdoors as Stulgis’s unique style and internationally renowned skill set will be on show for everyone who visits the parkland.

Our contribution to the artwork was to ensure structural stability of the framework. As the structure is to be in a publicly accessible area, the design had to be stable under heavy loading to resist vandalism and malicious damage.
