2013 Building of the Year…

build1BE Collective are very proud to have provided structural and civil consultancy for the Somerset Community Centre. The project has been awarded Building of the Year for the AIA Darling Downs region, and has also been shortlisted for the Bluescope Steel State Architecture Award.

The design team led by Architects Thomson Adsett/Studio 39 began with a three day community workshop. This process was met with unbridled passion from local councillors and key community representatives. Ultimately, an efficient and streamlined process was created, where community feedback directly impacted on the look, direction and mixed-use purpose of this community asset.
