Art in Architecture, the Creatives’ Concrete Cave

brutal_00Pedro Reyes and his wife Carla Fernández are perhaps the epitome of the creative couple. From melting down guns and moulding then into shovels, to enabling the design and development of craft techniques in indigenous communities, the couple have etched their name into artistic history.

More recently, they have been focused on the design and build of their new home in Coyoacán, Mexico. Reyes’ background in architecture is plain to see throughout the home, as is the couples appreciation and love for ancient Mexican art, history and culture.

We’re big believers in off form concrete, so it’s exciting to see others sharing our passion, especially those with such impressive stylistic-credentials!
