Dewar Terrace, Corinda

Project No: 7030

The Dewar Terrace project was a residential alteration and additions job in Corinda. We worked alongside Architect Tomas O’Malley providing structural design and documentation. Our scope included preliminary site inspection, design of the foundation/ground slab, a new rear deck and kitchen frame, and rear roof structure & headers design. The design included foundational piers to support a future swimming pool, and a framed box gutter to facilitate the crossed awning roof.  The bracing design was unusual as traditional timber bracing was ruled out due to the number and width of operable doors between the extension and existing structure, so our structural design utilized a steel frame.
