Logan Enhancement Project

Project No: 7075

Building on our significant façade engineering experience, we’ve recently been involved in the Logan Enhancement Project. Our Client required specialist engineering consultancy and façade certification for the design of aluminium screening across a number of different bridges as part of the project.

The bridge screens have been sourced through PicPerf, Locker Group’s architecturally designed perforated panels range. The vandal-resistant panelling carries a natural tree-scape image, created through varying aperture sizes in the metal. We ensured that the pedestrian barriers were certified against a 2,000-year wind event, plus usual pedestrian and cyclist loads per main roads specification requirements.  BEC provided cost saving analysis, and assisted in streamlining aluminium thickness and grade to achieve the most cost-efficient approach.
