BE Collective’s Chermside Multi-Storey commission included some highly creative structural consultancy, design and documentation services and problem solving.
The project is a fairly standard three storey apartment complex, featuring 10 apartments and a large car parking area.
Challenges included some very restrictive DA requirements, which severely limited the height and dimensions of the building. The BE Collective team delivered some complicated and innovative solutions including replacing the traditional reinforced concrete supports with up stand wall beams to ensure compliance with carpark and driveway regulations. These changes were made even more complex by the need for a new-and-improved sewer line.
Once again the BE Collective team pulled together across disciplines to produce an outstanding result for the client.
