Sleeping rough – St Vincent de Paul’s charity fundraiser.

BEC Director & General Manager, David Halpin, participated in this year’s St Vincent de Paul Society’s CEO Sleepout charity fundraiser.

In support of the homeless, & on a rainy southern-hemisphere winter solstice night, David slept outside on 3 pieces of cardboard & plastic drop sheet.

David raised over AUD 5,000, contributing towards this year’s Australia-wide fundraiser total of nearly AUD 8.8 million. Despite being cold, & a little sore, David has been inspired to investigate self-supporting solutions, & what other countries are doing to minimise homelessness.

Thanks Dave 🙏 #BEC #corporatesocialresponsibility #homelessness
